Stop waiting for tomorrow and live for today! Every time I scroll through social media I see one of those posts “After all this is over I will……” and it breaks my heart that people are “waiting” to live life until the pandemic is over, until there’s enough money for this or the time is right for that. When they’re missing out on living in today!
When you focus too hard on tomorrow, you miss out on today, now, the present. That doesn’t mean stop setting goals or looking forward, but don’t be so busy dreaming and looking ahead that you miss out on what is right here in front of you. Live for today!
Life is strange right now, we need to slow down and stay home more to keep more people safe. That doesn’t mean we have to stop living. It just means that our days look a little different.
Stop Waiting for Tomorrow
Instead of stressing about what you can’t do, focus on what you CAN do! Read all those books you’ve been putting off until you had the time. Lots of libraries are doing curbside and even digital checkouts! Play board games, do crafts, dance, sing and have fun with the kids. Do more baking and cooking. All those recipes you’ve had saved on Pinterest? Yeah, now’s the time to try a few or several. Dial up an old friend and catch up. Write letters and mail them to family and friends. It will brighten everyone’s day! Clean out those closets, go for long walks, binge watch those shows you’ve been saving. Live for today!
We can’t control the circumstances, but we CAN control how we react to them.
Life doesn’t have to be easy to be beautiful.
